We do not yet have answers as to why the Pentagon and its leadership were so poorly prepared, and reacted so inappropriately to both early intelligence and the actual events of September 11th, 2001.
To this day, we have seen not a single military or civilian in leadership on that day be anything other than lauded for their great courage in defense of our country.
Trillions of dollars later, we have fought for two decades in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and have destroyed so much more than what we lost that terrible day.
We continue to wait for honesty, transparency and a sense that our military actually owns up to its only mission of protecting our country and our people.
