“U.S. military action against Yemen will be a strategically inconsequential action taken for the morally repugnant purposes of protecting Israel economically during Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinians. Quite possibly, this reckless action by the U.S. against the Houthis in Yemen (who are the popular de facto government for 80% of Yemenis) will lead to an expansion of military conflict across the Middle East.

The US is over-extended militarily, with troops in Syria and Iraq in vulnerable circumstances for strategically unsound reasons. That Saudi Arabia and the UAE, after nearly nine years of war with the Houthis, are not taking part in this campaign is everything one needs to know as to how unwise and foolish this latest U.S. military action is.

The answer to the Houthis’ actions is straightforward: if the U.S. stops supporting the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians, the ships will sail free in the Red Sea. Instead, we may be about to witness another great and terrible disaster in a long line of U.S. military disasters. What will it take for our leaders in DC to make sound strategic and moral decisions rather than catastrophic political choices?”
