“As a former senior enlisted leader, I am often asked, ‘Why we are having recruiting problems with our military?’ The first thing that comes to mind is corruption by our government. 4,500 military lives were lost in Iraq in a war justified by lies.  Now, our government is supporting genocide, as shown by this third veto against the United Nations Security Council Resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza. Because of our veto power, our lone vote prevented the resolution from passing.  

Why would our youth desire to join our government’s military when its actions support the killing of innocent people?”
